Elon Musk's new venture, The Boring Company, wants to build tunnels under cities that could then be used to transport vehicles around traffic using high speed electric sleds. But it turns out Musk is also playing the long game by figuring out how to dig tunnels faster and more cheaply that could be used for his near-supersonic Hyperloop transport concept that he open-sourced a few years back.
